Your profile

• completed field of study in electronics, mechatronics or computer science
• practical experience gained, for example, as an intern or working student (maximum of 1,5 years)
• experience in common MS Office applications, Knowledge of at minimum one common programming language, experiences in structured requirements engineering, software design and the usage of design patterns
• a structured way of working
• interest in challenging project tasks and associated challenges
• flexibility to work at different ZEISS locations in Germany during the program
• fluent in English & German, both written and spoken, further languages beneficial

Your Role

During the 18 months, you will rotate between 4 different ZEISS departments across the company's different business units and possibly also abroad. Which departments these are depends on you - your chosen focus and your future role. During the program, you will also take part in several training sessions, workshops and project work that enhances your professional and personal development. All this aims at enabling you to hit the ground running after completing the program - and make you familiar with the basics to kickstart your
Possible tasks within the program:

• participation in an agile team of hardware / firmware and software developers
• development of product software of embedded and diagnostics software using C/C++, Python, Matlab or VHDL.
• check the interaction of SW and hardware through components and system tests
• design and implementation of an automated test environment through regression testing
• development in the field of DevOps to build a continuous integration and deployment toolchain
• hardware in the Loop Test Development
• testing of new technologies and prototyping to demonstrate functionality
