The Role:
The Senior Procurement Manager will provide leadership in the implementation of the Procurement Strategy supporting the European region. This role will implement a strategic approach in alignment with the Global Sourcing team in regard to supplier selection, key contract negotiations, and identifying, defining and implementing key metrics, tools and systems to create alignment with the company’s Global strategic goals and objectives.
The Senior Procurement Manager will lead full project lifecycle focused on developing an in depth understanding of the marketplace followed by supporting the global team in sourcing and selecting suppliers, establishing contract compliance in EU, purchasing, and managing supplier performance for key agreements.
Targeted outcomes
· Support implementation and supplier management to enhance key EU raw material partnerships
· Develop the logistics procurement market in the region to include warehouse negotiations, carriers and other resources used in EU while maintaining alignment with global strategies
· Lead negotiator and supplier interface for Indirect Spend in EU, including all manufacturing materials and services as well as EU day to day operating needs
Key Responsibilities
· Implement, and Lead Commodity/Spend Strategies
· Track and communicate market trends, benchmark data, and customer feedback
· Share global strategy with key EU stakeholders, gain alignment and drive implementation
· Drive EU region compliance with Global Procurement policies and procedures
· Commodity Managers / Spend Managers interface
· Support Global Commodity Managers / Spend Managers in supplier management as needed
· Identify and implement key supplier metrics to monitor and measure supplier performance
· Work with Global Commodity Managers / Spend Managers to implement corrective actions to improve supplier performance when necessary
· Sourcing Planning and Spend Management
· Assist and advise business on use and implementation of negotiated programs
· Identify and drive savings by reviewing current use of programs and bringing them to procurement organization standards
· Analyze spend data to find negotiation opportunities
Direct Report: Buyer
Required Experiences:
· A bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance or related field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant procurement experience
· Demonstrated experience with procuring materials, equipment, and services
· Demonstrated experience managing and leading a team
· Knowledge of procurement systems, purchasing policies and procedures as well as purchasing laws
· Ability to analyze market trends and forecast for purchasing decisions
· Experience working in an ERP environment; SAP experience highly desirable
· Proficient in using MS Office products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
· Proficient in using SAP, MS Office products required: Excel (intermediate level), Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
