Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Assistant

Friendz at 5 Corners Childcare in Langley is looking for one permanent and full time Registered Early Childhood Educator Assistant. We welcome and encourage youth, new immigrants andaboriginal candidates to apply.
JOB DUTIES/DESCRIPTION:
* Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers
* Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programsthat promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and socialdevelopment of children
* Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keepingrecords
* Engage children in activities by telling stories, teachingsongs and preparing crafts
* Guide and assist children in the development of propereating, dressing and toilet habits
* Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping andcooking duties
* Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch andrest periods
* Observe children for signs of potential learning orbehavioural problems and prepare reports for parents,guardians or supervisor
* Submit written observations on children to early childhoodeducators or supervisors
* Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems ofchildren
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Completion of Secondary Education is required.
Certification: A Valid Early Childhood Educator AssistantCertificate issued from ECE Registry
Experience: No experience is required. On job training will beprovided.
Language: Proficiency in English language required.
Number of Positions: 1
Salary: $21.00/hour for 32 to 40 hours per week along with 4% vacation pay of the gross income or paid two weeks vacation.
