Job Type: Internship, 10 - 12 weeks (Summer 2024)

Working Hours: Mon-Friday 9am - 5pm

S&B Herba Foods Ltd are food importers, processors and market leaders in supplying the Manufacturing, Wholesale, Ethnic and Retail Sectors. We are part of the Ebro Foods Group, the largest Rice Company and second largest Pasta Company in the world.

This year, we have started an Intern programme, beginning with our IT Function.

The Role:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our team for the summer holidays. This position is ideal for students currently studying technology, computer science, or system processes, who are eager to gain practical experience in a dynamic operational and processing environment. The successful candidate will work closely with our IT and operations teams to investigate current processes and suggest technological improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce unnecessary steps.

Key Responsibilities

Process Analysis: Evaluate existing paper-based processes within our food processing operations
Data Collection: Gather and analyse data to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
Technological Assessment: Research and evaluate technological solutions that could replace or augment current processes
Recommendation Development: Develop and present detailed recommendations for technological implementations that could enhance operational efficiency
Pilot Implementation: Assist in the planning and execution of pilot projects to test recommended solutions
Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation of current processes, findings, and recommendations
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, IT, and Quality Assurance
Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Technology, Computer Science, Systems Processes, or a related field at a recognised universitySkills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software
Knowledge of process mapping and improvement techniques
Basic understanding of food processing operations is a plus
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience: Previous experience in process analysis or technological implementation projects is desirable but not requiredBenefits
