Would you like to join an international defence company to support their clients by improving the capability, reliability and availability of their most critical assets? Due to continued investment, this global business is currently looking for an IT Service Manager to join their existing team in Bristol on a 6 month contract.

The Role

We are looking for an experience IT Service Manager to support the vital MILSATCOM Service Delivery Organisation using an ITIL framework Service Management toolset. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

Capture existing Service Management processes and reflect to the Enterprise Architecture team
Attend stakeholder meetings, governance forums, Design reviews & Readiness Assessments to assist the delivery of a new ITSM approach.
Support the definition of the Service Management Strategy of Operations, driving change using ITIL best practise, continuous improvement and automation.

Please note that you will also be expected to attend client Operational Sites and work closely with the modelling and software teams to define and deliver into service improved approach using BMC Remedy Helix.

You

To succeed within the role of an IT Service Manager, you must have experience in a similar position and have the following skills:

Demonstratable experience in a management position in the defence of telecommunication industry, ideally MILSATCOM but not essential.
Professional Qualification as ITIL Practitioner (ideally as Managing Professional) and ITIL Strategic Leader
Demonstratable Experience in managing change in a ITIL v3 and/ or v4 based service management organisation.

In addition, you should also have hands on experience of BMC Remedy process Designer (or similar) and demonstratable experience of project delivery in formal waterfall and agile engineering environments.

Please note that due to security nature of this role, offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining SC security clearance. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and will require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
