Is there any action plan to implement Jal Jeevan Mission?

Yes, to implement Jal Jeevan Mission, action plans will be prepared at each level, that is, village, district and state. 

1. Village Action Plan (VAP): Based on baseline surveys, resource mapping, and the perceived needs of the village community, the Gram Panchayat or its subcommittee will prepare it with assistance from the Implementation Support Agency (ISA), the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), the Rural Water Supply (RWS) Department, and the District Water and Sanitation Mission (DWSM).

2. District Action Plan (DAP): Its implementation and preparation will fall under the purview of DWSM.

3. State Action Plan (SAP): It must be prepared with the aim of attaining the security of drinking water for the entire state in a way that prevents the installation of hand pumps, tanker cars, or other means of supplying water to any community. The State Water and Sanitation Mission (SWSM) will work with the PHED/RWS Department to design and complete the SAP based on DAPs.
