Job Role: Mechanical Estimator
Area: Granthan
Salary: £50k - £55k
Our client is a leading provider of comprehensive building services, specializing in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) solutions. Their commitment to excellence and innovation has established them as a trusted partner in the industry. They are looking for a talented and experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
Develop detailed mechanical designs from concept to tender stage, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and completeness of design and cost estimates.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options without compromising quality.
Prepare and present tender documentation, including detailed cost breakdowns and project timelines.
Conduct site visits and surveys to gather necessary information for accurate estimation.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of material costs, labor rates, and market trends.
Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
Ensure all estimates are completed within specified timeframes and budget constraints.
Provide technical support and guidance to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will be:
Minimum of 5 years industry experience.
OND/HND/DEGREE Building Services/Mechanical or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
Full UK driving license
