Cherry Professional is pleased to be working with a fantastic client in the education sector to recruit an Office Manager in Nottingham to start as soon as possible. The Officer Manager will work closely with the Head Teacher to provide support. The Office Manager is the main link between the central services finance, the human resources teams, and the school.
 
The Role: Office Manager
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Salary: £26,421 - £31,364
Hours: 37 hours a week (full-time) & TTO + 2 weeks
 
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of recruitment, induction, and probation for new starters for all teaching and support staff at a local level including interview arrangements.
Day-to-day delivery of school business and back-office services, functions, and systems.
Ensure a register of training is maintained including safeguarding, data protection and safer recruitment.Admissions

Liaise with the Local Authority to facilitate admissions, transitions, and transfers as well as the Local Authority Appeals Service as appropriate.
Monitor and allocate places throughout the year to facilitate the efficient admission, transition, and transfer of pupils.Finance Administration

Collection, banking, and reconciliation of school funds and dinner money.
Collating School Meal and Breakfast Club registers inc. free school meal authorization.
Maximize income through seeking and managing bids for additional funding streams such as lettings, grant applications/bids and other activities.
Seek professional advice on insurance.Human Resources

Arranging/conducting Sickness Attendance Review Meetings for nominated staff when employees hit attendance triggers.
Ensuring systems are in place to monitor and record Annual Leave, Sick Leave, and Compassionate Leave, Maternity and Paternity.
RTW, ID, DBS checks.
Maintain staff records including return to work, induction, salary assessments, sickness, attendance and premises staff holiday records and audit those records as required. 
Person Specification

Experience of working in an office environment and Line Management experience.
Knowledge of GDPR, importance of confidentiality, and safeguarding procedures.
Ability to manage workload and work on own initiative.
