Copius Group is offering full-time positions based in Cork, Ireland within the mechanical and electrical (M&E) industry in Ireland. As an Intermediate/Senior Electrical Quantity Surveyor, you will be a vital part of our project delivery team. Your primary responsibility will be managing the commercial aspects of projects, with support from the Surveying Manager. You will work closely with the Contracts Manager and a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry professionals to deliver cutting-edge projects.

Responsibilities:

* Verify tenders post-award in collaboration with the Project Manager/Director.

* Prepare and regularly update the CCS for projects in consultation with the Project Manager/Director.

* Analyze billing and cost schedules to prepare cash flow projections.

* Generate monthly reports in accordance with Group standard procedures.

* Conduct monthly site measurements and prepare interim valuations, including costs for labour, materials, equipment, and escalation.

* Monitor site progress to ensure timely and agreed claims for loss and expense recovery.

* Report to the Commercial Manager on any areas where targets are not being met.

* Participate in monthly commercial and subcontractor meetings.

* Draft pre- and post-contract correspondence.

* Manage client invoicing through submission and tracking.

* Coordinate closely with the Financial Department on project reporting and financials.

* Resolve client and subcontractor disputes.

* Oversee site procurement with regular report reviews.

* Assist in training and mentoring less-experienced quantity surveyors.

* Review contract specifications and scopes with stakeholders to identify and address project risks, supporting the Project Manager.

Requirements:

* Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or Engineering.

* A trade background is advantageous.

* Experience in the construction or pharmaceutical industry, showcasing your understanding of industry best practices and technologies.

* 5-10 years of post-qualification experience in an electrical contracting environment.

* Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues, clients, and external partners.

* Excellent organizational and planning abilities.

* Proficiency in MS Office systems.

* A demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
