Position Overview:
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving new business growth while nurturing and expanding existing accounts. Focused primarily on selling a comprehensive range of security and networking products including CCTV, access control, door entry, intruder, and fire alarm systems, you will work towards financial targets and various KPIs to maximise sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to identify and target new business opportunities within the Essex region.
- Manage and grow existing accounts by fostering strong relationships with security installers and providing excellent customer service.
- Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Proactively generate leads through networking, cold calling, and other business development techniques.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products and exceptional customer support.
- Achieve sales targets and KPIs, including cross-selling and upselling initiatives.
- Provide regular reports and updates on sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in a business development or sales role within the security industry is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of security products, including CCTV, access control, door entry, intruder, and fire alarm systems.
- Strong network of contacts within the security installer community is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
