Position: Mechanical Project Manager
Salary: Circa £50k with £5K car allowance
Location: Liverpool

Roles & Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project plans, encompassing scope, timeline, budget, and resources. Maintain project schedules, tracking tasks and milestones to ensure targets are met. Conduct on-site surveys to align client expectations with project feasibility.

Budget Management: Estimate project costs and monitor expenses throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with the Head of Mech Dept to set and achieve commercial targets. Conduct monthly Mech Valuations, reporting variations and ensuring adherence to budget constraints.

Team Coordination: Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers, subcontractors, and apprentices. Delegate tasks and provide clear direction, ensuring safety and productivity. Attend operational meetings to optimize resource utilization and productivity.

Contract Management: Negotiate contracts and orders with subcontractors and suppliers. Review and approve invoices and variations to orders.

Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures and conduct onsite inspections to ensure compliance. Ensure timely completion of O&M Manuals in line with client specifications.

Risk Management: Identify and address potential project risks, developing contingency plans.

*

Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing concerns promptly.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure work is carried out in compliance with relevant Mechanical codes, standards, and regulations.

*

Safety and Environmental Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and oversee environmental best practices on-site.

* Other Duties: Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the line manager.

The ideal candidate:

* 4 years experience in project management (Mechanical).

* Will hold a valid SMSTS / CSCS Black card.

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to act as the primary point of contact for clients.

* Strong understanding of budget management, including estimating project costs, monitoring expenses, and adherence to budgetary constraints.
