About the Role:
Our client is searching for a skilled CAD Design Engineer to develop detailed 2D and 3D technical plans for manufacturing purposes. The successful candidate will collaborate with a dynamic team and seasoned leaders to deliver projects efficiently while maintaining high standards in their design operations.
Responsibilities & Duties
Key responsibilities will encompass:
* Producing various technical and engineering drawings for multiple project stages.
* Adhering to document management protocols as per Standard Operating Procedures.
* Managing design timelines and budgets effectively.
* Communicating regularly with management about design progress and potential risks.
* Addressing and solving design challenges actively, covering all project aspects from client specifications to final execution.
* Working closely with all departments to ensure design feasibility, including considerations for manufacturing, transportation, installation, and maintenance.
* Engaging with the production department to streamline the design-to-manufacturing transition.
* Contributing to the refinement and enhancement of design processes and quality controls.
Who We Are Looking For:
Qualifications and Experience
Required:
* Proficiency as a CAD Design Engineer with:
* Experience in designing comparably sized objects to street furniture.
* Background in sheet metal utilization.
* Knowledge of metal specifications and finishing processes relevant to similar projects
* Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
Preferred:
* An Engineering degree, HNC, or equivalent.
* CSCS Card.
* CDM Training.
