An industry leading housing developer are looking for you to join them as Environmental Manager where you will be responsible for overseeing the environmental department for their projects across the South. You will establish where improvements can be made and drive compliance across an exciting and challenging site portfolio. As well as this you will responsible for:

Reporting into the HSE Director you will be:

• Developing and implementing environmental strategies and action plans
• Influencing sustainable procurement
• Supporting the delivery of Environmental Management at business level, as well as driving the delivery at site level
• Reviewing monthly sustainability reports to ensure the environment reporting component is complete and accurate
• Implementing and developing of environmental policies and practices and management systems to continually reduce any negative impact to the environment
• Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation
• Liaising with relevant bodies such as local authorities, public bodies, and competent bodies audit, analyse and report environmental performance

This is an operational role where you will be expected to visit sites regularly and remotely manage Environmental impact. You will also be:

• Degree or higher national diploma (HND) in environmental science, environmental management, sustainability, or another related field to work as an Environmental Manager
• Experience in construction, housebuilding, main contracting, consultancy, or civil engineering
• Chartered Environmentalist and/or Full Member of the Institute for Environmental Management and Assessment (or working towards)
• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor (Desirable)

To be successful in this role you will need to be a proactive and self-motivated individual who works well under pressure also have the ability to influence and inspire others with a genuine passion about sustainability in the built environment.

You will earn an exceptionally competitive salary of between £60-65,000 (based on experience) plus full package including bonus and car/car allowance and will join a forward thinking and dynamic company with superb HSEQ sensibilities
