Our client is one of Europe’s largest food businesses with a turnover in excess of £6 billion, manufacturing and supplying both branded and own-label products into Europe’s major grocery multiples from factories across the EC. Renowned for their product quality and manufacturing flexibility, they are looking to recruit a Quality Manager to act as a key interface between the UK retailers and the manufacturing sites focussing primarily on customer own-label products. A minimum of 2 years of quality experience within the food industry, and bi-lingual skills in English and French are necessary. The successful individual will have the opportunity to advance their career with one of Europe’s largest and most successful organisations.

•This role is customer account focussed, with an aim of getting to know the customers’ specific needs and being able to offer them the best service possible.
•Liaises closely with the Senior Quality Manager, Customers, and the continental supply sites/divisions, gathering information re continental products to supply to the Senior Quality Manager for the customers. Shares the responsibility for building and strengthening customer relationships and ensuring that the best service is given at all times.
•Must ensure that the relationships with supplying divisions/factories are maintained and strengthened
•Is an integral part of the UK group quality team expected to work as part of the overall team and also autonomously. Shares the responsibility for ensuring the group quality objectives are met whilst striving for continuous improvements, identifying shortfalls in the systems and making recommendations for improvements.
•Communicating effectively with all colleagues and contacts.

Key Requirements:

* Food science Degree or Equivalent

* Knowledge of UK retailers’ requirements and the BRC technical standard and HACCP.

* Be willing to work to tight deadlines independently and as part of a close team.

* Must have good attention to detail and plenty of tenacity.

* Needs to hold a driving licence

* Ability to speak and write fluent French.
