Chemical Process Operator

JP Recruitment are hiring. Our client based in Tameside require an additional production operative to join their manufacturing site. This is a permanent position direct with the company.

Duties Include:

* Preparation of raw materials and chemicals.

* Operating of the equipment’s: verify and load raw materials in line with process instructions and procedures, take samples, unload, and pack.

* Performing quality control of products, from reactors and mixers, performing necessary adjustments according to existing procedures and reporting them to the Production Manager/Supervisor.

* Ensure production is against work instructions issued for the produced item to guarantee proper operating conditions.

* Ensure initial testing and release of products is completed and that there are no deviations to specifications.

* Ensure the perfect visual appearance of the finished products to be of the level of standard.

* Maintains high quality expectations regarding all operations and packaging of the final product and encourages peers to do likewise.

* Maintain machinery and work areas in a clean and proper condition.

* Responsible of their own training documentations

* Carry out any other duties requested from the Production Manager/Supervisor

ESSENTIAL

* Knowledge of chemical mixing and packaging processes

* 5 Years production experience.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT

* Required to stand for long periods of time.

* Walk and climb stairs.

* Use hands to remove or lift boxes.

* Stretch and reach with arms extended.

* Stoop and bend with ease.

* Regularly lift to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance

* Temperature, dust, smell, and noise are under normal chemical environment conditions.

Working Hours:

* 8am – 5pm – Monday – Friday
