The Company:
An exciting opportunity for an Assistant Estimator to join a Tier 2 Main Contractor in the Birmingham. Our client operate primarily within the Public sector with the clients such as Local Authorities & the NHS. They tender projects ranging in value from £50,000 up to £10 million, with their average contract value being c£7 million.
About The Role:
As an Assistant Estimator you will play an integral role in tendering work in the Midlands Region. Ideally you will have experience in utilising Conquest Estimating Software or Excel.
As an Assistant Estimator, you will be assisting on a range of tenders, working closely with a Senior Estimator on a day to day basis. This is very much a career opportunity as 3 of the 4 current Estimator’s started with business in an Assistant capacity. This position will develop to an Estimator level upon success.
About You:
Minimum 1 year experience as an Assistant Estimator.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to manage a varied and hectic workload.
Degree or HNC/HND educated (desirable but not essential).
Competent with Microsoft Excel or Conquest with a good knowledge in Outlook & Word.
Good working knowledge of JCT contracts & current building regulations
Reside within a commutable distance to Birmingham
