As Graduate CPU Micro-architect and Performance Modelling Engineer, you will be tasked with developing an internal CPU performance model with the latest micro-architectural improvement ideas, and performing associated micro-architectural investigations. The model is used initially during the early phases of projects to help and define the micro-architecture of the product, with a specific focus on high performance and energy efficiency. It is then refined and tuned during the development phases to assess performance trade-offs, and used as a gold standard to ensure the product reaches its area, frequency, power and performance targets.

Responsibilities:
  • Development of micro-architectural CPU models
  • Micro-architecture investigations and exploration
  • CPU performance and power efficiency analysis
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Solid foundation in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Engineering
  • Programming skills (C or C++)
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of CPU architecture
  • Habits of Linux environment
  • Good English and interpersonal skills
"Nice To Have" Skills and Experience:
  • CPU or System modelling knowledge
  • CPU performance analysis / benchmarking
  • Compilers and code generation techniques
  • Scripting skills in Python
