Office 365 Developer

An exciting position has become available for a full-time Office 365 Developer based in Bedfordshire. The successful candidate will earn £27,000-£30,000.

This position is part of the IT and Business Process Transformation Team mainly engaged on building new applications, reports, IT processes as well as adding features and functionality to existing business applications, developed on a variety of Microsoft technologies. This involves design, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and support of web-based, mobile and desktop applications.

The role will be based primarily in the Bedford office and travel to other group offices may be required, preferrable the Oldham office.

Role Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field.
2-3 years of SharePoint and Power Platform development/administration and any software development experience.
Strong familiarity with Office365 and high general computer literacy.
Experience seeing projects through a full Application Lifecycle.
Good planning and problem-solving skills.
Excellent analytical skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team.
Essential skills – Tools & Technology

Power Platform: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, CDS.
Front End Skills: JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and Responsive Design.
Web Services: Leveraging Restful APIs to link with external systems.
Driving usage of SharePoint Online & OneDrive for business collaboration.
Reporting Tools: Excel, Power Query, PowerBI.
M365 Platform: Extending and automating office application using MS Form, MS Teams, Adaptive Cards, Outlook.
Desirable Skills

Web development/Applications: TypeScript, React JS, Bootstrap, ShortPoint.
Back End Skills: Microservices, REST, Node.js, C#, and ASP.NET.
Database: NoSQL (Document Database), Dataverse, MS SQL.
UI/Wireframe design: Adobe XD, MS Visio, PowerPoint.
Role Responsibilities

In depth understanding of business structure, processes and IT tools used.
Design and develop Office 365 applications and solutions (Power Automate (Flow), Power Apps, Power BI, MS Forms, MS Teams, Restful API, SharePoint Online).
Analyse business requirements by collaborating with the stakeholders and IT Management, write briefs to define and solidify your understanding of the business problem, data usage and work processes.
Perform software design, debug, test, train and deploy software solutions.
Implement custom solutions that leverage various Office 365 services (Planner, Form, OneDrive).
Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, UI’s, wireframes, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, etc.
Assume additional responsibilities as assigned/required.
