Site/Package Manager - Groundworks

James Lewis has been appointed to assist a multi-dimensional Principal Contractor in North London in their search for a Civils/Groundworks Site/Package Manager to join the team. Our client works across a range of project sectors which include data centres, education, commercial, healthcare and science & technology in and around London and the SE. They provide services from design, through construction and fit out to the maintenance of the projects, effectively offering an end-to-end solution.
This specific project is a datacentre has recently completed its first cycle of enabling works which consisted of a significant amount of levelling out, before commencement of the initial infrastructure/groundworks (all services below ground). Piling is now in process, after which will follow the sequence of concrete slab, steel frame, cladding/Kawneer curtain walling and aluminium standing seam roofing system. For this phase however the focus is very much on the drainage (surface & foul water) and underground services (ducting for power, comms and fibre, rebars and water proofing details). Any additional experience in steel frame, cladding, roofing and fit-out would be a distinct advantage.as it will ensure you can remain involved for these latter packages.
As an experienced Site Manager, you will be required to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and confidence required to successfully deliver this project. You will be tasked with:
* Review of subcontractor tender returns
* Monitoring and where possible, bettering the program by maintaining the program of all on site construction activities
* Ensure subcontractors compliance with HSEQ requirements to derisk the project and ensuring that all site records are maintained
* Responsible for Q flow / site logistics and security teams
* Responsibility for duty of care/site waste management plan
* Preparing RAMS where required and review of subcontractor RAMS
* Liaising and managing work packages and the subcontractor.
To be considered for this position you will need a qualification in either building engineering, civil engineering or construction site management. We are looking to hear from candidates with previous groundworks experience on large scale build projects, with previous datacentre experience a distinct advantage, but not essential.
