Based in Cambridge, the Senior Embedded Software Engineer (Linux) will be responsible for developing Embedded Solutions throughout the entire life-cycle of future products and new technologies, from concept and early-prototype stages, through to production and support.
This is an opportunity for candidates to be a member of a challenging and fast-moving, yet friendly and collaborative multidisciplinary team.
The Embedded Software Engineer will be instrumental in the design and evaluation of both architectural and system impacts for new product designs and concepts.
The successful candidate will have the foresight to focus on the best solutions, for the appropriate design constraints.
A capacity to develop platforms from scratch will be key, as a successful candidate will be focusing their efforts on producing projects from the ground up, along with a proven ability to take a systematic view of embedded solutions.
Successful candidates will also have a relevant Degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineer, along with:
- Comprehensive and proven knowledge of embedded C programming with an understanding of current design methodologies.
- Key experience with Linux Development and associated development tools.
- Experience of developing complete embedded software systems, from inception to completion.
- Knowledge and experience of mobile HW/SW architectures and constraints.
