As the Medical Director for Provider Management, your primary goal is to develop and execute initiatives that enhance the value of healthcare services delivered, in collaboration with the hundreds of facilities and tens of thousands of clinicians that we work with. You will be the clinical lead and share operational responsibility in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective care for our members.
Key Actions

Strategic Partnership Development: Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement innovative strategies for engaging healthcare providers.  Fostering mutually beneficial partnerships, and promoting value-based care initiatives.
Value Generation: Lead efforts to identify, assess, and capitalize on value-generating opportunities. Focusing on initiatives that contain costs and/or measurably and materially improve health outcomes.
Provider Performance Management: Jointly oversee the evaluation and analysis of provider performance metrics.  Identifying areas for improvement and implementing targeted interventions to optimize provider performance and maximize value.
Network Optimization: Work closely with provider teams to design, deliver, and evaluate preferred providers and provider networks.  Refine systems which manage these, identify opportunities for expansion or consolidation, and negotiate favourable contracts that align with the organization's value-based care objectives.
Quality Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance the quality and safety of care delivered by providers. Leveraging data-driven insights to implement best practices, clinical guidelines, and quality improvement initiatives.
Cost Containment: Collaborate with teams to develop and implement new and creative strategies for containing healthcare costs.  Whilst maintaining quality standards, including alternative payment models, risk-sharing arrangements, and value-based reimbursement structures.
Development and Growth : As a member of the leadership team, drive a culture of development and growth within our division. Essential Skills needed to fulfil this role:

Medical degree.
Proven experience in healthcare management, provider relations, or medical leadership roles within a payor or provider organization.
Strong understanding of value-based care principles, healthcare delivery models, and reimbursement mechanisms.
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive data-driven decision-making.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Sufficient credibility and gravitas to work with, negotiate with, and influence providers at the CXO level.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of driving strategic initiatives and leading cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and accreditation standards.
Commitment to advancing healthcare quality, access, and affordability through innovative provider partnerships and value-based care models.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with both medical professionals and non-clinical colleagues.
