Engineering Project Manager

We are looking for a Project Manager with experience in an engineering setting to be employed immediately on a permanent basis for an established company in Sandwich.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience using MRP systems, minimising project risks and who can manage a team of professionals in a friendly environment.

The key responsibilities include:

Prepare cost and price build-up analysis using data in the MRP and cost models.
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure aspects of projects are compatible.
Liaise with operations for lead time estimations and production updates.
Coordinate internal business resources and third parties for execution of projects.
Lead and direct the work of other project team members to ensure success.
Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope.
Coordinate resource and availability allocation.
Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
Manage changes to the project scope, schedule and costs using verifications.
Measure performance using project management tools and techniques.
Report and escalate to management as needed.
Manage the relationship with clients and relevant stakeholders.
Perform risk management to minimise project risks.
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Delegate appropriate project tasks effectively based on the team's SKE levels.
Track project performance to analyse success with short and long-term goals.
Meet budgetary objectives and adjust constraints based on financial analysis.
Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients/team members.
Use and continually develop leadership and management skills.
S&M general admin to cover other team members when necessary.To be considered for this role, you will need:

Relevant experience in Engineering discipline (mechanical/electro-optics).
Proven track record in project management within Engineering.
Experience with project management software tools.
Project Management Professional (PMP) / Prince 2 certification is desirable.
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
