A fantastic opportunity for a candidate with strong admin and customer service skills to join a leading organisation as a Supply Chain Planner
Role responsibilities include;
* Support the implementation of processes and procedures to optimise stock holding, whilst maintaining a cost down approach to improving supplier performance.
* Support the development and implementation of cost effective and integrated SCM solutions, focusing on the establishment of long term partnerships across the supply chain network.
* Support SIOP and demand management objectives
* Support the development and maintenance of partnerships with key customer supply teams
* Assist with implementing and maintaining procedures and processes necessary to drive continual improvement
* Ownership of all scheduling of inbound containers, managing closely the relationship with freight forwarders and the Warehouse on a daily basis.
* Provide customers with weekly stock trackers detailing all their inbound scheduling against current forecasts and overall stock profile.
* Analysis on forecast accuracy, general range performance
* Report on excess stock lines and assist in exit strategies for less well performing lines.
* Communicate effectively to the senior management team regarding any significant supply chain issues and offer potential solutions
* Monitor supplier performance ensuring vendor performance is achieved, and any issues are dealt with to minimise the impact on service.
Key skills required;
* Proven Supply Chain experience
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Computer literacy - including strong Excel skills
* Strong communication and team working skills
* Ability to plan and organise workload to meet deadlines
* A drive to learn, develop and contribute towards company performance
* Problem solving skills
This role will be office-based Mon-Thurs with the option to work from home on a Friday
