Following company training the successful applicant will be accountable for a smooth and seamless provision of Data Cabling Engineer for both internal and external clients. An exciting opportunity has now arisen for a structured Cabling Engineer to join our growing team based in Gosport/Portsmouth. As a business they've been around since 1998.

We're looking for a talented 2nd Line IT Support to work for our client.

They want to recruit someone with demonstrable experience of a Desktop Support environment (at least of 3 years).

The Role:

Based in the company's High Wycombe office, as the 2nd Line IT Support you will be primarily accountable for remote it telephone support for customers. Remote help to end users covering hardware, operating system, file and print, personal productivity suites, email, internet, intranet access. Adherence to a call logging process, password resets/mail routing/new accounts etc. Logging customer queries and meeting SLA’s, updating existing tickets with SLA time, ensuring that the operating system and personal productivity applications are up to date with the latest service packs, patches and drivers. Scheduled server maintenance, onsite IT Support for customer, installation, configuration, move and/or upgrades to all designated euc devices, both software and hardware, including peripherals and their associated drivers.

In the job you'll be tasked with providing remote support using any industry accepted remote support software.

Finally, you'll also be tasked with interface and partner with other 3rd party vendors to ensure seamless integration and support services.

The Candidate:

The ideal person for this 2nd Line IT Support role will have relevant background in a Desktop Support environment (at least of 3 years).

You'll also need a background in:

- Using Microsoft office applications essential (2016 / 365)

- On-prem & hosted email services like Office 365 & g-suite

- Various internet connectivity mediums essential, xdsl, fibre

- Enterprise antivirus packages

- Backup management

In addition, you'll need a levels and a+, n+ or Microsoft mcsa /mcse optional.

You'll also need to be a background in it remote telephone support and be willing to learn.

The Package:

Basic salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
