Fleet / SHEQ Compliance Manager
An exciting new role in the Waste Management sector. My client is seeking an experienced Fleet / SHEQ Compliance Manager to assist them as they grow the company.

My client is a market leading organisation in the waste management and recycling sector. Due to proactive expansion, they are looking to hire an experienced Health and Safety Manager. They are engaged in Industrial services operating their own recycling and transport facilities they can offer a full and comprehensive waste management and recycling service to commercial customers.
You may have had experience with: Environmental Compliance, ISO 9001, 14001, 18001 auditor or implementation, Environment Agency, Permitting, Carbon Management and Sustainability or Recycling, Quarrying, Water, Energy from Waste, Anaerobic Digestion, Landfill.
Waste Management Experience would be PREFERRABLE.
Environmental Agency experience would be DESIRABLE.
DUTIES AND EXPERIENCE
You will be responsible for site management reporting, sustainability and permitting.
Main duties and responsibilities:
• Support the Transport function by overseeing fleet management compliance, including vehicle maintenance, adherence to driver’s hours legislation, processing tachograph data, recording Annual Leave/Sickness, and facilitating Training and development for the transport team.
• Manage FORS and Achilles audits and maintain related documentation.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety legislation and promote safe working practices consistently.
• Conduct regular fleet inspections in accordance with the company's Operator Licence commitments.
• Ensure compliance with DVSA guidelines and requirements for roadworthiness.
• Uphold a high standard of legal compliance through the implementation of appropriate policies, processes, and procedures.
• Develop training programs for Health & Safety procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IT skills is a prerequisite, with experience in data analysis considered advantageous.
QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRABLE)
NEBOSH General
WAMITAB COTC Level 4
Environmental Science Degree or Masters is preferred.
ISO 9001 Auditing or Implementation
ISO 14001 Auditing or Implementation
ISO 18001 Auditing or Implementation
Full UK Driving License Essential
Any pertaining to commonly used IT systems such as Microsoft Office or Databases
