The Company
My client is a well-established and well-respected Main Contractor and have been for over 100 years. Operating from their Bristol Regional office they deliver design and build, new build and refurbishment projects up to £25m in value across most sectors including but not limited to; Education, Arts and Culture, NHS, Sports & Leisure, Commercial and MOD works. Contracts are split evenly between traditional and design & build, with a high proportion of their work (up to 60%) being won on a negotiated basis. They take pride in providing a quality product to their clients and also take pride on their high level of staff retention.
They consider themselves to have the professionalism of a PLC but the flexibility of a regional contractor. Taking a non-adversarial approach to their work has resulted in a very strong order book with a good proportion of repeat business from their clients.
Due to their continued success and organic expansion plans they are looking to recruit a Senior Estimator to join their Bristol team.

The Role
As a Senior Estimator you will generally be based in the Bristol office. Work will include formulating bid / tender prices from first principles along with sending out sub-contract enquiries and analysing received quotes and putting final submissions together on a variety of exciting projects across many different sectors up to the value of £25m in and around the Bristol region. Projects may be traditional, D+B, 2 stage or framework projects and either new-build or refurbishment. Geographically projects will generally be within 40-50 miles of Bristol.
You will be able to demonstrate a successful track record in providing estimating duties and winning bids within the construction industry and have the desire to progress your career, with very real opportunities for career progression available.
Candidate
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a successful track record in an Estimating role, working for a main contractor on similar sized projects.
