Working hours are 08:00-17:00, Monday to Friday, with 30 minutes unpaid lunch.

My client has a great reputation, is backed by some of the leading brands in their industry and presents an opportunity for a Junior Engineer to work with some highly skilled, highly experienced engineers.
My Leicester based client is looking for a Junior Motor Repair Engineer (Electromechanical
Engineer) to join their team. The Junior Motor Repair Engineer (Electromechanical Engineer) will work closely with customers and in-house Senior Engineers to diagnose motor issues, determine the best course of action for repair, and complete the necessary repairs to ensure the motor is functioning properly.

As a Junior Motor Repair Engineer, your duties will include:

Be trained and supervised to perform diagnostic tests on electric motors, AC motors, DC motors, pump motors, and gearbox motors.
Be trained and supervised to identify and troubleshoot issues with motors and determine the most effective method of repair.
Be trained and supervised to disassemble motors, clean and inspect components, and replace or repair damaged parts as needed.
Be trained and supervised to reassemble motors, test for proper function, and make any necessary adjustments.
Be trained and supervised to competently use star/delta control, wiring and configuring variable speed drives, and other control components.
Provide excellent customer service by maintaining open communication with customers by answering questions and providing advice on motor maintenance and repair.
Maintain detailed records of all repairs, including parts used and work performed.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Key Skills and Qualifications for a Junior Motor Repair Engineer:

Completion of one or more City and Guilds Electrical and/or Mechanical courses.
Strong interest of AC and DC motors, pump motors, and gearbox motors.
Strong interest working with a variety of tools and equipment, including electrical testing equipment.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Willingness to work overtime and on-call hours as needed.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong interest in motor repair and maintenance or electromechanical engineering.
