Registered  Nurse ( RMN / RNLD ) - Learning Disabilities Rehabilitation
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified preceptorship nurse or experienced Mental Health Nurse ( RMN ) or Learning Disability Nurse ( RNLD or RMN )Either Full or Part Time. Located in Cardiff, this is a Specialist Hospital for adults with learning disabilities, behaviours that challenge, and/or mental illness. Service users are cared for in one of the single gendered Units depending on their unique needs. The salary on offer is up to £44000 p/a and is negotiable. We can offer both full and part time roles subject to preference

Service Type: Specialist Rehabilitation Services for both men and women with Learning Disabilities, challenging behaviours and Mental Health Needs  
Salary:  £37,433 - £44,000 per annum  - negotiable depending on your experience
Hours: Full Time and Part Time hours are available - you can choose depending on your preference
Shifts: ideally mixed shifts though flexibility can be provided

Further Details

The service Located in Cardiff, offers up to 29 beds across single-gender units. Providing care, treatment and rehabilitation for males and females age 18- 65 offering specialist treatment and nursing care that focuses on delivering positive outcomes for our patients and their families. Patients within the service will have a primary diagnosis of learning disabilities, and who are likely to have been detained under the Mental Health Act. Patients may have complex needs and behaviours that challenge in relation to:

A dual diagnosis of mental illness and/or personality disorder
Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Forensic needs

Operating within a bespoke learning disability / ASC-friendly environment, our highly skilled multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to meet the mental and physical health needs of each of our service users.

Preceptorship nurses: In the case of newly qualified nurses ( Mental Health Nurse , Learning Disability Nurse and/or Registered Adult Nurse ), the service offers a fantastic preceptorship programme. They have a good number of experienced staff to support and mentor newly qualified nurses.

Training / Induction and opportunities for development and progression: The Service offers a structured and thorough 2 week induction programme, which will include various training courses. You will also have access to clear and structured development programmes where you can see clear pathways to progression within the company. Training and development is one of the major ethos' of the company. There are no limits to training and development as the service will fund any training course you would like to do that is relevant to your job role.
