THE COMPANY
We are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for the position of Warehouse Shift Manager within a vibrant manufacturing facility in Burton upon Trent. You will assist in managing the warehouse operation in accordance with site policies and procedures, ensuring smooth and timely operations. THE ROLE
• Coordinate with Warehouse Manager to ensure adequate shift resources; adjust budget, as necessary.
• Ensure Operators meet operational standards per SOPs and training.
• Responsible for Health & Safety of shift staff.
• Manage shift rotas and crew size within budget (including agency staff).
• Control processes to meet quality and output targets.
• Drive Continuous Improvement for People, Quality & Profit.
• Attend daily operational meetings, report service levels and metrics.
• Coach and develop staff with clear objectives and timelines.
• Conduct investigations and disciplinary meetings as needed.
• Manage Atoss team approvals and overtime authorisation.
• Maintain service levels to deliver on time, in full, without complaints.
• Provide operator training and coaching.
• Plan overtime and cover for absent Operators.
• Ensure work completion meets required standards.
• Book daily deliveries into Navision; escalate unresolved POs.
REQUIREMENTS
• HACCP qualifications.
• Supervisory qualification with proof of ongoing development.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office at intermediate level.
• Technical Management experience in food manufacturing.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English.
• Experience implementing BRC6 and IFS.
• Experience leading audits.
• Organized and flexible with strong prioritization skills.
• Up-to-date knowledge of food legislation and application.
• Excellent management skills.
