As a Residential Deputy Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager/Responsible Individual and ensuring that the young residents receive the highest quality care and support.
The Willows supported accommodation is run by Harmony Childcare Residential Homes Limited and provides excellent care and support for up to 4 young people aged 16 to 21 years old, with spacious, well-furnished individual rooms and communal areas.
Here's an outline of what you'll be doing:
* Putting the children and young people first, always!
* Creating a positive and nurturing environment within the home
* Working closely with other agencies to safeguard the young residents
* Keeping all care plans and documents up to date
* Managing budgets and financial aspects efficiently
* Leading the team in the absence of the Registered Manager
* Staying updated on legislative changes and best practices
* Being a role model for best practices and cultural sensitivity
* Ensure all regulations are met regarding Fire, Health and Safety, Quality Assurance and Regulation 44
* Adherence for all staff members to safeguarding policies
* Taking on any other duties as needed
To be our ideal candidate for the Residential Deputy Manager role, you'll need:
* 3+ years of experience of working with children/young people
* QCF Level 3 or 4 in Residential childcare
* A genuine passion for working with children
* Excellent computer skills
* Enhanced DBS check will be undertaken
* Flexibility and willingness to go the extra mile
* Good communication skills and education background
* Resilience, patience, and a can-do attitude
* A full Driving Licence – you will be required to take young people to appointments, family time etc.
* Your own vehicle
* Undertake sleep-in duties as required.
What’s on offer:
* A competitive salary of circa £30,000 per annum, negotiable dependent on experience.
* Hours are based on an average 40 hours per week / 14.5 per day with a shift pattern of 2 days on, 4 days off.
