Land & Measured Building Surveyor

Our client is one of the leading engineering surveyors in the United Kingdom, specialising in land surveys, measured building surveys, underground utility surveys, as well as monitoring and site engineering projects. They operate through a network of nine offices across the country, employing over 150 surveyors and engineers who work on major construction and infrastructure developments in the UK.
The Role
Our client is currently seeking skilled Land & Measured Building Surveyors to join their local office. This presents an exciting opportunity to engage in a diverse range of surveying projects involving land and measured buildings. Utilising cutting-edge technology such as total stations, GPS, and 3D scanners, you will conduct topographical surveys and contribute to the creation of floor plans, elevations, and sections for measured building surveys. They are particularly interested in hearing from enthusiastic surveyors who are eager to advance their careers and enhance their existing knowledge and experience.
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, site hours may vary, necessitating occasional overtime and weekend work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Execute topographical surveys to a high standard.
* Perform comprehensive measured building surveys, including floor plans, elevations, and sections, using a combination of traditional techniques and 3D scanners, while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
* Competently carry out setting-out tasks based on coordinates.
* Exhibit a proficient understanding of AutoCAD.
* Ensure vehicles and equipment are well-maintained.
* Consistently deliver work of superior quality within specified timeframes and budgetary constraints.
* Supervise and provide training to trainee surveyors when necessary.
Required Experience:
* Minimum of two years of prior experience working as a Land and Measured Building Surveyor.
* Proficiency in using AutoCAD.
* Competency in operating surveying equipment, including total stations, GPS, and 3D scanners.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a larger team.
* Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Capacity to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
* Professional demeanor with excellent client-facing abilities.
* Possession of a full UK driving license.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
