My client is a leading sub-contractor working on a major civils and RC structures project in the Midlands.
We are currently recruiting a Temporary works coordinator to complete a 24 month contract. You will be required to manage the temp works for a RC structures package!
TWC Responsibilities:
* Reporting and working with the Project Manager.
* Ensure the delivery teams are provided with safe, workable temporary works in a timely manner to suit the programme via in-house design or supplier / subcontract design checks.
* Ensure the process for temporary works management is applied fully and efficiently.
* Manage the technical assurance (TA) of all temporary works design.
* Manage the budget associated with designing and checking of all temporary works.
* Advise the construction team where temporary works designs may be required. Ensure that TW designs are suitably categorised with respect to the appropriate risk class.
* Be a key part of the planning / programming meetings with the construction team to ensure all temporary works are dealt with in a timely manner.
* Ensure relevant / appropriate permits are issued when required and that they contain suitable risk control measures.
* Drive innovation in temporary works, including investigation, evaluation and integration of best practice.
Site Engineer Requirements:
* CITB Temporary Works Coordinator Course (essential)
* SMSTS or SSSTS
* Previous experience working on an RC structures package in a civils environment
* Experience / knowledge of temporary works management
* CSCS card (essential)
* Civil or Structural Engineering Qualification, Diploma, NVQ Level 4 or higher (essential)
