Chemist - Technical Services - Technical Support - Applications Chemist - Technical Transfer Chemist
This is a great opportunitty for a chemist to move into a more customer facing role, supporting the UK Sales Manager, visiting customers, performing customer trials, though still working in the laboratory, being immersive in new product development.
Responsibilities of the Chemist;
* Develop, analyse and further develop existing formulas at the request of the customer base
* Development of innovative products as well as improvement of existing formulations
* Analysis and evaluation of new and alternative raw materials
* Full recipe responsibility
* Plan and Run Customer Trials
* Troubleshoot and resolve customer product and application issues
* Produce supporting technical documentation
Chemist Profile;
* Capable of understanding polyurethane chemistries and formulations
* University degree in the field of chemistry, polymer science or related.
* UK Driving Licence
* Possess excellent analytical skills
* Be able to travel independently and represent the company in technical development, service and sales support
Our Client is a family owned urethane business employing over 2000 people in more than 50 countries, producing 2.2 million tonnes of product each year. It has focused on developing and producing coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers for industrial, sports, and leisure applications for over 30 years, of which these applications include sports surfacing, foams for furniture, decorative and industrial protection all of which are high-quality polyurethane systems, surpassing any competitive standard.
Due to an expansion in the company, they are seeking a motivated chemist to join their team who will not only assist with the development of new urethanes, but will also support the UK Sales Manager, visiting customers and conducting trials at customer sites, both in the UK and overseas. The role will be site based.
Salary up to £40,000.
