Trisian-Global Consulting LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Analyst/Accountant to work on-site in Memphis TN. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
As a Senior Tax Analyst/Accountant, you will be responsible for the income tax profile (income tax provision, compliance, and planning) for the US operations and will support a wide array of projects engaging in technical application and process improvement.  We are looking for someone who can understand and build upon tax accounting methodologies, coordinate compliance efforts with our third-party tax preparer, and be effective in identifying tax-saving opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare the monthly, quarterly, and annual income tax provision 
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the income tax-related accounts 
Prepare financial statement supporting documentation as requested
Manage the income tax third-party preparer for estimated payments, extension filings, and tax return delivery 
Aggregate necessary financial data and prepare working papers supporting tax computations 
Develop analytical procedures to provide better analysis to the finance team 
Maintain technical expertise through research platforms, training seminars, etc. and disseminate to key team members 
Researching and interpreting tax guidance through CCH/RIA knowledge platforms
Engage in tax savings and refund opportunities both internally and with third-party consultants 
Manage income tax audits as they occur 
Address income tax and business notices as they occur 
Assist in compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 
CPA certification preferred 
Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax planning and compliance 
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and international tax laws and regulations
Experience with tax software and research tools 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines 
Prior experience in a consulting firm is a plus

Senior Income Tax Analyst
The West Fraser US Headquarters (Germantown, Tennessee) is in search of a highly motivated income tax professional to become part of a growing and engaged finance team. This position provides an opportunity to take ownership of the income tax profile for the US operations and will provide a wide array of projects engaging in technical application and process improvement.
We are looking for a person with professional curiosity, an affinity for creative problem-solving, and strong cross-function collaboration. The goals for this position will be to utilize your technical and technological background to execute at a high level on the income tax provision, compliance, and various planning opportunities while working in conjunction with the US Tax Manager. We are looking for someone who can understand and build upon tax accounting methodologies, coordinate compliance efforts with our third-party tax preparer, and be effective in identifying tax-saving opportunities. This position may require travel as you would help with operations-based tax incentive work such as research and development tax credits or visit our corporate office in Vancouver.
This position will be primarily focused on US income tax, though this is a Canadian-based global operation that may have you working with our Canadian tax team on occasion. Flexibility to engage in other areas of the business such as indirect tax or within the finance function in lending those analytical and technological skills will bring additional value to the role.
What you will do:

What is required for this role:
Bachelor degree from accredited college or university in Accounting/Finance/Business
Minimum 2-3 years of US income tax compliance/provision experience
Proficiency in researching and interpreting tax guidance through CCH/RIA knowledge platforms
Proficiency in Microsoft software suite including Excel and Word
Preferences:
Master of Accountancy or Taxation
CPA certification would be an asset
Other direct or indirect tax experience
Experience with income tax reporting software including OneSource/Corp Tax
