Founding Teacher Fellow

Excelsior Village Academies, Inc. is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Founding Teacher Fellows. As a Founding Teacher Fellow, you will have the unique opportunity to work closely with experienced educators to develop your teaching skills and contribute to the establishment of our school. This is a full-time, paid fellowship program that will provide training, mentorship, and hands-on experience in the classroom. Fellows will work under the guidance of experienced teachers and collaborate with a team of educators to support student learning and growth.
Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and implementing engaging lessons that align with the school's curriculum and instructional goals.
Provide individual and small-group instructional support to students based on their needs.
Assist in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and learning.
Collaborate with teachers and staff to support the implementation of instructional strategies and interventions.
Participate in professional development opportunities and reflective practice sessions.
Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress.
Participate in school events, meetings, and other activities as required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
Passion for education and a strong desire to make a positive impact in students' lives.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A growth mindset and eagerness to learn and grow as a teacher.
Flexible and adaptable to the needs of a startup environment.
Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred.
