A global market leading engineering consultancy is now seeking a Flow Assurance Engineer to join their growing team in Paris. The company specialises in developing innovative solutions across the hydrocarbon, renewables and alternative energy sectors. Thanks to the aquisition of new projects from clients around the world they are now seeking to expand their Flow Assurance team.
As Flow Assurance engineer you will work on thermo-hydraulic and fluids management studies for all different streams in the energy sector, whether it is oil & gas or Energy Transition related fluids like CO2, H2, and Ammonia. You will support energy transport networks definition but also define operating philosophies and liaise with connected disciplines such as process, pipelines, and safety. You will therefore be involved in major projects in subsea, offshore or onshore sectors tackling key topics such as optimisation of design to reduce cost, assess feasibility of CCUS, and define safest operating strategies, etc.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
* The development and completion of safe and operable designs in accordance with project requirements, relevant laws, regulations and codes.
* Helps to develop engineering solutions to specific project requirements.
* Performs simulation of selected cases as defined by Project.
* Performs critical analysis of engineering results.
* Helps to prepare data requested by Client for approval.
* Participates in regular engineering progress review meetings, where appropriate and ensures corrective actions are taken when necessary.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Minimum degree qualified (or international equivalent) in process/chemical engineering or similar
* Minimum 3 years experience
* Previous experience in energy engineering would be a positive differentiator.
* Working towards Chartered Engineer status (or international equivalent) from a relevant discipline engineering institute would be a plus
Required Competencies:
* Working language for the role is English, which is essential as there is a level of interfacing with international offices
* French language skills is not mandatory but would be a plus
* Knowledge of Flow Assurance principles and OLGA
* Some basic knowledge of software such as HYSYS, Process, PIPESIM, PVTSim is expected
* Any previous experience in a consultancy, design house, engineering contractor or operator environment would be a plus
* Flexibility to work on multiple topics simultaneously
* Good communication and social skills
