YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In this exciting and dynamic role, you will:
- Evaluate tissue samples processed by various technologies (e.g., H&E, IHC, ISH, RNAScope) across diverse indication spaces (oncology, inflammation,
immunology, cell and gene therapy) in both research and clinical settings (GCP) - Evaluate H&E-stained tumor slides for macrodissection for molecular downstream analyses
- Ensure quality control of tissue samples and stainings by internal and external teams
- Serve as an Assay Technology expert in standard pathology technologies, especially IHC and ISH/RNAscope, and support validation of assays for clinical
trials - Support the establishment of automated immunohistochemical, in-situ hybridization, and other tissue-based assays (e.g., PLA), including
validation, image analysis, and tissue processing procedures - Foster relationships with academic institutions, CROs, diagnostic companies, and industry associations as well as provide guidance on innovative
technologies for spatial analysis, multiplex assays, and automated quantitative digital image analysis - Collaborate and align with experts in project and strategy teams

- You are a qualified M.D. Pathologist
- You have a proven track record of research/clinical development in biomarker-driven projects with at least initial work experience in the
pharmaceutical industry or in a clinical pathology laboratory - You demonstrate a strong scientific background in cancer biology and/or immunology
- You bring extensive expertise in histopathology techniques (e.g., IHC, ISH, macro-/microdissection, quantitative imagine analysis, etc.) -
hands-on experience in method development, validation and/or image analysis algorithm generation is preferred - You are proficient in implementing complex in vitro diagnostic assays to meet clinical trial designs and sampling handling strategies
- You have advanced knowledge of pathophysiology and oncology therapies with a focus on translational sciences (cf., Proof of Concept)
and/or biomarkers (experience in other disease areas is a plus) - You are familiar with relevant regulations
- Your distinguished scientific reputation with multiple publications and a strong network in academic and clinical communities, coupled with
strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills sets you apart - Fluency in English, written and spoken (German is an advantage)
