An award-winning global market leader in ophthalmology, IOL, Microsurgery and Optics is looking for an experienced product marketing manager, with a background in Medical Devices, (ideally micro-surgery or consumables) but other areas would be considered) to join their specialist marketing division based in Berlin, Germany. The position will involve defining product / portfolio requirements and driving innovation projects jointly with R&D. Applications are particularly welcome from candidates with a medical scientific or engineering background, although equivalent experience in lieu of qualifications is also fine!
Respected as a pioneer and global market leader in ophthalmology, the company specialises in Implantable lenses for the treatment of cataracts.
Product Manager Position
This fantastic opportunity is centred on developing and implementing marketing strategies and tactics successfully, using a thorough understanding of the local market and the product offerings within regenerative ophthalmology. The role is located in Berlin, Germany and due to the nature of business will be predominantly office based.
Working with the Marketing Management and Research and Development team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the product marketing strategy in line with key business objectives and industry trends. Other responsibilities include:
Product Launch, Pricing, Market Research
Development of product and scientific marketing materials
Liaising with KOL’s
Manage and monitor the life cycle of the product portfolio
Planning and implementing external events
Product Manager Requirements
Proven at least 3 years of experience of upstream marketing in the Healthcare industry
Proven experience in marketing and sales, with strengths in both strategic, tactical management and future needs analysis
Strong understanding of the European Healthcare and market
Scientific or Business degree with specialism in Marketing, International Business, Science, Engineering or equivalent
Fluent German and English – ideally native German speaker and professional English and another European language
Willingness to travel (when able)
Excellent presentation skills
