We are looking for Accountants in Malta

Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Clerk to join their team in Malta. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of one year of experience in internal accounts, preferably with a 'O' level pass in Accounts and be a Maltese speaker. They should also be fluent in English, as this person will be doing internal local accounts and reporting to their mother company in China.

The candidate should be comfortable working independently, able to take onboard responsibility, and have excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues from various departments. The role requires someone with a strong working knowledge of journal entry, liaising with auditors, and assisting with tax and VAT returns. Additionally, experience in preparing and processing payments to suppliers, preparing cashbook and cashbook reconciliation, and assisting with month-end related tasks such as reconciliations and uploading of journals is essential.

The successful candidate must have knowledge of MS Office software and be able to learn and adapt to new technologies easily. On-the-job training will be provided to the selected candidate to ensure they have a good understanding of the company's policies and procedures.
