Maintenance Technician

Salary: €46k - €48k per year

Location: Utrecht (Netherlands)

The employer specialises in Automated warehouses and is a global company who design, install and maintain the automation machinery on behalf of their clients.

As a Electro Mechanical Technician, you are responsible for the completion of planned, preventive, and unplanned maintenance on a highly advanced automated material handling system in a distribution centre environment. The ideal EM Technician is focused on maximizing system up-time and performance through safe and efficient execution of maintenance activities.

Responsibilities:

Approach all tasks and situations with a Safety First mindset
Maximize system performance and up-time through effective execution of all maintenance-related activities
Participate in a broad array of electrical and mechanical tasks with minimal supervision
Support Production Team through basic fault correction coaching and troubleshooting
Assist in the installation of new or refurbishment of existing system components
Facilitate continuous improvement activities through broad system knowledge and site-specific enhancements

Requirements:

Strong electrical (3-Phase, 480V, DC and 24V controls) and mechanical skills
Perform MIG, TIG, Stick or other types of weld based on project needs
Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand
Metal cutting, grinding, and fabrication skills
Familiarity with electrics/mechanics in drive technology (motors/gears)
Familiarity with control technology (PLC /controls/inverters)
Knowledge of wiring diagrams and electrical measuring
Comfort working with wide assortment of computer systems (Microsoft Office Suite, proprietary system monitoring programs, etc.)
Ability to work in team environment
Continuous walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and standing
Working at heights of up to 80 feet wearing fall-arrest gear and other PPE
Lifting, pulling and pushing up to 50 lbs. unassisted
Working in ambient warehouse conditions

Shifts:

5 shifts - 2 days - early, 2 days - dayshift, 2 days - late, 4 days off.
