Jointer's Mate

Astute's Renewables team is exclusively partnering with a UK wide ICP and EV charging installer to recruit a Jointers Mate in a site-based role in the Bournemouth area.

The Jointers Mate role comes with a salary of up to £33,500, bonus scheme and a great opportunity for development and progression. And with paid travel time and overtime, the OTE for this role is over £45,000.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Jointer you will:

Carry out HV jointing works in accordance with safe working practices and in compliance with the adopting DNO's codes of practice, under the direct and personal supervision of the Jointer
Excavate cable trenches and joint bays using hand held tools and equipment
Lay LV and HV cables in open trenches and through duct
Carry out 'dead' and 'live' LV jointing works in accordance with safe working practices and in compliance with the adopting DNO's codes of practice

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

CSCS
Authorisations up to 33kV including permit to work (desired)
Basic awareness of Risk Assessments, COSHH, PPE
Emergency First Aid at Work
Full UK driving license

Personal skills

The Jointers Mate role would suit someone who is:

Experienced in civils labouring
Happy to stay away when needed
Keen to progress and become a Jointer

Salary and benefits of the Senior Project Manager role

Salary of up to £33,500 with an OTE of £45,000+
Bonus scheme.
