Finance Manager

My client is an independently owned, fast-growing, dynamic company that currently seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of their finance department on a global basis.
Responsibilities:
* Manage day-to-day operations of the Finance Department
* Drive continuous improvement in accounting practices and systems
* Coordinate annual audits and filings
* Approve supplier payments and journal entries
* Finalise monthly reports and reconciliations
* Execute hedging transactions and manage cash flow
* Prepare financial forecasts and statements
* Oversee VAT, Corporation Tax, and credit control
* Maintain financial records and assist with budgeting
* Manage credit insurance for customers
Requirements:
* Qualified accountant with SME experience
* Previous experience of successfully managing a competent finance team with direct reports that include full management responsibilities such as performance appraisals and regular 1:1’s
* Knowledge of international trade, ideally in the chemical industry
* IT systems implementation experience
* Strong time management and adaptability
* Financial modelling skills
* Understanding of European VAT is advantageous
