Role Overview - High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated team. As an HLTA, you will play a pivotal role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Working closely with teachers and other staff members, you will provide tailored assistance to students, both individually and in groups, to enhance their educational experience and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities for High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA):
* Support teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons across various subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, and more.
* Provide targeted intervention and support to individuals and small groups of students to address specific learning needs and accelerate progress.
* Lead and manage learning activities under the direction of the class teacher, ensuring a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
* Contribute to the planning, preparation, and assessment of teaching and learning activities, including the development of resources and materials.
* Assist in the implementation of behavior management strategies and support students in developing positive attitudes towards learning.
* Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers to promote a collaborative approach to education and support.
High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Requirements:
* Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent.
* Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA in a primary school setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students and colleagues.
* Knowledge of relevant curriculum frameworks and educational strategies.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
* Commitment to promoting inclusion, diversity, and equality in education.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one) and relevant safeguarding training.
