Our client is seeking a paralegal professional to join their London and/or Newcastle office on a full-time basis.
Your primary responsibilities will include drafting and review of client contracts, conducting legal research, supporting stakeholders in our Digital, Product, Customer Services and Sales teams on ad hoc queries and ensuring the contracts are reflective of pricing models and approved by Finance and Commercial teams.

Main Duties
Contracts drafting, review and execution
Prepare NDA’s according to standard templates
Prepare MSA’s, SOW’s and DPA’s using standard templates
Checking client contracts and coordinating the signature process via DocuSign
Implementing contract amendments after consultation with Head of Legal (HoL)
Drafting and managing responses to escalated customer concerns and disputes.
Maintaining the organisation of contracts post-signature and responding to queries from Finance as needed for invoicing
Attending campaign review meetings and flagging legal issues to HoL for follow up
Reaching out to Commercial on behalf of the Legal team and liasing with Sales to ensure consistency between pricing and contract wording before signature
Supporting Project Managers with legal queries around promotions and website build, and wording for consumer facing Terms and Conditions
Compliance: Audits and Risk Management/Reviews
Supporting Compliance with data security and privacy related audits
Supporting Legal and Compliance with vendor onboarding packs
Assisting Customer Services with data privacy queries
Assist on court proceedings - preparing and filing forms
Skills and experience
The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who works well in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
Experience and qualities include:
* Law Degree (2:1 or above) from a recognised university is essential
* CILEX Diploma, LPC, SQE or Bar Course or Paralegal certification is desired
* Fluent spoken and written second language (particularly French or Italian) would be beneficial
* Strong working knowledge of data privacy / GDPR
* Familiarity with consumer law and CAP Code
* A basic knowledge and understanding of IP law (preferred)
