A primary school in Oldham, are seeking an engaging and proactive Teaching Assistant to join their team. The appointed Teaching Assistant will benefit from working alongside experienced members of staff and lots of opportunities for professional development. The successful Teaching Assistant will be a passionate and proactive individual, capable of building good relationships with pupils and staff. Working in the reception class, you will be supporting a child who is prone to going into crisis and throwing toys in the air. Understanding what triggers these events is key to preventing the child from going into crisis. You must have a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and be able to work with the class teacher to create a safe and nurturing environment. This is a part time role that will naturally increase in hours as the child becomes more settled into the mainstream life.

Requirements The desired Teaching Assistant will have:

Have experience working in Early Years Foundation Stage
Have excellent behaviour management skills
Be a confident communicator, able to use your own initiative when required
