Quantity Surveyor

I am looking for a skilled QS to assist one of our clients working on a substation project in Scotland. The project will be based in Hurlie, but you will be working out of the office in Motherwell.

The role:

* ASAP start

* Outside IR35

* 6 month rolling contract

* Hybrid – split between office and wfh

Responsibilities include:

*

* Conduct monthly reporting to the client in accordance with the contract and the client periodical reporting procedure

* Conduct monthly internal reporting through the CVR and internal commercial management procedures.

* Work closely with the project delivery teams to enforce the business drivers and outcomes for your projects

* Maximise profitability having regard to client and subcontractor relations, third party incomers and the company’s strategic objectives regarding client relations and the risk/reward philosophy

* A commercially and contractually astute individual that takes ownership of performance

* Assistance with the management, preparation and submission of tender enquires.

* Undertake costing activities, utilising a sound working knowledge of tender process

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor,

* Previous experience working on substation projects beneficial

* Excellent negotiation, analytical, and reporting skills

* Strong organisational and communication skills
