Bookkeeper - Part Time

Location - Thame (Hybrid working offered)

Salary - £30,000 - £35,000 (Pro-Rata) 

Mainstay are currently recruiting for a Bookkeeper on a part-time basis, for our well established client based in Oxford. As a bookkeeper you will be involved with surface level accounting for the business and will have previous experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities include:

Recording transactions income and outgoing, posting them to ledgers on Sage Accounts
Processing payments
Conducting daily banking activities
Producing various financial reports
Reconciling reports to third-party records such as bank statements.
Preparing employee wages
Managing employee expense claims
Helping the Finance Manager with administrative duties and preparing yearly accounts
Completing VAT returns
Maintaining the company’s financials for the Apprenticeship Levy SchemeThe successful bookkeeper will have:

Must be able to hold an SC Security Clearance
Good attention to detail to enter correct data into financial records and recognise errors.
Mathematics skills for accurate record-keeping
Administrative skills for filing financial records.
Computer literacy, especially familiarity with spreadsheets, and accounting software such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and Sage
Multi-tasking and organisational skills to manage different financial duties, including the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
Interpersonal and customer service skills for dealing with customers, suppliers, and other employees in the company.
Communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial matters in accessible terms.
To be honest, discreet, and trustworthy
