At United Living, we have one of the largest specialist in-house teams for project management, acquisition, design, construction, and maintenance in the UK.

Job Description

Purpose:

The Innovation Manager will be working with all parts of the business so could be based from any of our offices in England.

As part of the Innovation & Decarbonisation team, provide the United Living Property Services business with a robust service including:

Oversight of the United Living Group’s new innovation strategy and processes coordination and of all innovation ideas through the “Cultivate” portal
Collaboration across all United Living businesses to implement successful innovation projects, to communicate success and to ensure innovation ideas are embedded throughout the Group
Build a strong network within the innovation sector and to form partnerships with appropriate external parties
Maintaining up to date knowledge with regulatory, political, economic and social sustainability challenges that are faced by our industry
Specific responsibilities:
Responsibility for overseeing the successful development and implementation of approved innovation ideas.
Regular reporting to the Innovation & Decarbonisation on the performance of specific projects / activities.
Assist the Innovation & Decarbonisation Director in the formulation of new strategies and new services.
Provide day to day support to the Innovation Champion network.
Prepare relevant reports to effectively assess the performance of the UL Group Innovation strategy and make appropriate recommendations to improve the process where necessary.
Develop and implement relevant programmes to ensure innovation ideas & projects are developed and implemented on time.
Engage with key innovation partners to support the effective development and implementation of projects.
Liaise and assist the Bid Team in the production of SQ and tender submissions.
Be adaptable to overcome a variety of queries / problems, escalating to the line manager as necessary.
Assist with the development of marketing collateral to ensure effective communication of the “Cultivate” programme and successful innovations.
Prepared to work in various geographical areas and attend other site locations across the UK.
To liaise with all staff, clients, consultants and residents in a professional manner, maintaining and developing professional relationships with the Client to help future business development.

Qualifications

Desirables attributes:

Hold or working towards a formal qualification related to Innovation Strategies & Processes
Experienced in the coordination of innovation ideas through to implementation
Existing network of innovative partners
Excellent analytical skills. Ability to review detail quickly and accurately from numerous documents.
Ability to liaise with external organisations working to strict deadlines.
Be able to work within a fast-paced changing environment.
Be an effective communicator, data driven and excellent at collaboration to achieve desired outcomes.
