Vehicle Technician & Mot Tester

Join our Client's dynamic team at a prestigious Car Dealership located in York! We're on the lookout for a talented Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester to become an integral part of thier esteemed establishment.

Position: Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester
Location: York, UK
Hours: 40 hours per week (including a 1-hour lunch break)
Optional Saturdays: Paid at time and a half
Salary: £38,000 to £42,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical, electrical, or technical issues.
Perform repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Diagnose complex vehicle problems using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Keep accurate records of all work carried out, including parts used and time spent on each job.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote efficiency and safety.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and explaining repair procedures.
Assist colleagues and share knowledge to promote a collaborative team environment.Requirements:

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester, preferably in a dealership setting.
Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
MOT Tester Certification (Class 4 and 7) with a valid accreditation.
Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex vehicle issues.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays and willingness to undergo further training as required.
