Senior Residential Children Support Worker (Meir Heath, Stoke.)
Stratton Mills Recruitment, specialized in Children Social Care roles, is seeking a Senior Residential Children Support Worker to oversee and manage single-bedded & multi bedded care homes in the UK where the well-being and development of our young residents are at the heart of everything we do.
Key Requirements for the Senior Residential ChildrenSupport Worker:
* At least 1-2 years of experience in a care environment for young people, with a focus on residential childcare or social care.
* Relevant health & social care qualification (level 3) for children and young people.
* Willingness to undertake relevant training with a commitment to personal development.
* Excellent communication skills with a genuine interest in working in a caring environment for young people.
* A UK full driver's license is required for the use of company cars on trips and running errands.
Responsibilities for the Senior Residential ChildrenSupport Worker:
* Maintain and demonstrate high standards of cleanliness and homeliness in the placement.
* Support and encourage young people with household chores and assigned staff duties.
* Assist in preparing and serving meals, encouraging a healthy balanced diet.
* Adhere to health and safety policies, emergency procedures, and all related checks.
* Administer medication after adequate training.
* Support the independence of young people by assisting with living skills and personal hygiene.
* Participate in social activities, outings, and trips with young people.
* Engage as a named Key worker for one or more young person.
* Monitor and observe young people displaying challenging behavior due to emotional, intellectual, or mental health needs.
* Attend mandatory training sessions and participate in agreed systems of supervision and appraisal.
